in which people can actually access the Australian legal system in immigration matters. The upshot is that when a bunch of uninvited guests show up on one the outlying islands they don't get to waste several million dollars of tax-payers money challenging unfavorable decisions in the
High Court. It also takes many of the decisions out of the hands of the lefties in the court system and into the poll-focused
hands of conservative politicians.
