And it is every person's right to criticize them for it.

But you digress, my odd little number. You asked "Maybe those silly bastards just don't know what's good for them?" anyone who gives up their decision making to someone else doesn't know by definition. By blindly following anyone else's beliefs, anyone else's religion without questioning you make yourself a slave to those people. You give up your freedom of choice, your rationality, your individuality, and everything that is you. Islam, translated means 'submission'.

Clearly those silly bastards don't know what's good for them. That's why they outsource their entire selves.

But we digress, we were not discussing Iraqis as much as Saddam.

.. which makes this statement irrelevant.

I have just framed this because I like it so much. Let me know if you think it is out of context.

Or pseudo-democratic regimes.

Have you noticed that most of the countries which have the word 'democratic' in their name are not?

What the hell, let 'em take out the butcher. Will Iraq become a democracy?

Let me suggest that Iraq will become a democracy if the people are ready for democracy. I think the US will provide enough support for it to succeed if the people truly want democracy. If the majority of people are civilized and want freedom, they will have freedom. If the majority of people just want to take bribes and control other people, they will slide quickly back into dictatorship.

I would like to see a free and democratic Iraq, but I will get a smug sense of satisfaction either way - and I will certainly enjoy watching the show.
