i think you misplace science and engineering.
if u give a scientist a million dollar, he will build a transistor so precisely that all its parameters are within 0.0001 percent of its inteded value.
you give a million to an engineer, he will buy a transistor then build a circuit to ignore that transistor's uncertainty.
oh and he used the 999,995 dollars left over to buy a Ferrari.
many uni now offer combined course in engineering and commerce.
thats because engineers are supposed to connect the science with praticality.
so dont bash scientists. the reason the dis economists is because they really are not into making money.
