- Sea levels have risen significantly since the last ice-age.
- The last ice-age was well before the industrial revolution.
- Therefore the sea level was rising before the industrial revolution.
(note I didn't say 'at' the IR, just 'before'). And if you think this is a silly sophistic argument, then let it teach you
something. Don't believe what people say about climate change. The onus of
proof is on the person initiating the force. If that's too hard, then go back and play
with your zing.
