Sounds a mite isolationist to me-It seems in the same vein as:
"Be lion mettled, proud, and take no care who chafes, who frets, or where conspirers are, Macbeth shall never vanquished be, until Great Birnam wood to high Dunsinance hill shall come agsinst thee" To modernise it, try substituting the words "Australia" for Macbeth and any one of the following for Birnam wood "The International Court of Justice" Global warming refugees" "Iranian nukes" I doubt if when the malcontents outside are;
-Blaming us for global warming & its consequences,
-Accusing us of using a disproportionate share of resources,
-Seeking compensation for slavery,colonialism & "genocide" in international forums
-and declaring jihad & sanctions in offence at our "free expression"
That we can simply focus on renovating our castle, in the hope that those outside, and their fifth-columnist allies inside, will leave us in peace. Though I will grant you, that the actions of our governments are of concern and may have hastened the advance of Birnam wood, in their signing of untold U.N. covenants, imposition of multiculturalism & positioning us as milch cows morally obliged to bankroll every over-populated poorly administrated basketcase.
