My argument though was that Australia offers a third scenario - ie, no guns for gangs of thugs to run rampant with. You didn't really address that. Actually -- that is exactly what he was addressing. His first scenario didn't have guns. His point was that guns are an equaliser, and without them there is no way for a weaker person to defend themselves.
