I must say, I find it remarkable that a mob of 5,000 developed (initially, before they started smashing ambulances, hitting random swarthy males, and attacking policemen) to protest against Lebanese gangs treating beach-goers with contempt. Imagine how many people would have rocked up if it was Lebanese gangs burning cars! Needless to say, it would be very, VERY interesting to see what would happen if the Paris scenario was repeated in Sydney.
