Apparently the 'electric sticks' were actually metal detectors. The Navy
personnel passed them by their badges to demonstrate what they were for - ie
that they were checking the illegals for weapons. No 'sparks', just the squeal
from the proximity of the metal. Of course the leftie organizations didn't even think to check this with the
authorities - which is fine: the more people who believe that asylum seekers
were tortured, the less will come. If only we could silence those reports appearing the Telegraph about them
having Nintendos, Satellite TV, computer classes and trips to Taronga Zoo ..
