A Malaysian student once told me the story about why Mahatir hates
Australians: The story is that when he was coming to Australia to study, he got off the
plane and got confused about where to go. He went to walk straight through
customs, and some redneck customs officer shouted "Hey Chinaman! Over here!". If there's one thing that Malay racists don't like to be called, it's
'Chinaman' :-) And he has hated Australians (and English) ever since. I don't know whether it was true, but it's a good story, and would explain his
irrational hatred of white people - particularly Australians and English. This is the thanks Australia got for educating Dr Mahatir? I would rather
go and feed some piranha fish.
