Una momento Terje Petersen It is very difficult for women to have their voices heard in the public arena in this country. Lots of women, especially women who have daughters are resentful of mostly male fashion designers dictating fashions for male taste. Lots of young women prefer to have fashion choices but look about to find narrow options and reluctantly chose clothes that do not suit them. On a related topic - At my local shopping centre at the entry and exit points there are pictures of women on large billboards in scant underware. Most women find these billboards offensive. When they complain to the Shopping Centre management about these billboards they are put off and ignored. Your saying men stick up for women is simply not true, it is rare.
I heard a report on Indigenous radio about indigenous blokes trying to do something to curb domestic violencem mostly male cruelty to women. It was the first time I have ever heard of males trying to beat this shameful problem. Australian white males could learn something from our indigenous people?
