There is a war on and these people were caught fighting for the enemy. They are being kept in custody until the war is over. Personally I don't feel any sympathy toward them and don't lose my sleep over their suffering. However, let's try to be honest. Which war? War against Afghanistan? It is over. It you treat them as soldiers - let them go home. If you treat them as criminal - put them in jail through some legal procedure. If the war is not against Afghanistan, then who is the enemy? If you say terrorists, then I have to note that it's very loose term. If you mean states that support them (like Afganistan and Iraq in the past, or Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, etc. - the list would not fit in the posting anyway), then say it loudly. On the other hand, POW in WWII were not let home immediately after war.
