Most of the current elected officials in the US have had no military experience. So, their knowledge of military matters is deficient and truly embarrassing. It endangers the work (and safety) of military personnel. Our politicians seem to think that soldiers should "play nice" and by the rules. Unfortunately, that philosophy creates dead comrades.
